Run Forrest Run!!..... Bubba Gump Shrimp Co This american seafood restaurant inspired by the 1994 film Forrest Gump,1 of my favourite movies of all time..
So i think this is the end of our 'seafood tour' before my love due date in 2 weeks. I always wanted to dine here when this place captured my attention for the first time at The Curve, Damansara.
This restaurant is like a big theme of the Forrest Gump movie. Two huge license plate sign on each table. The red “Stop Forrest Stop” sign is used to signal that a table needs service and the blue “Run Forrest Run” means that all is well and waiter will let you enjoy your meal. Also lots of pictures, gadgets, stuff even the menu based from the movies.
After checking out the menu, (mostly of shrimp dishes, but also other seafood, as well as Western and Cajun cuisines) .We decided to have Lt Dan's Drunken Shrimp, Crazy Chicken Cajun, Run Forrest Run smoothie and Speckled Blueberry plus a boat of fries... Yummy....2 thumbs up! and remember guys.... Safeguard Our Oceans!!
P/S : Mama always said life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get.

The seafood marathon was not over yet... Another place we dine last weekend was at Sri Ayutthaya - A Discovery Beyond The Ordinary.. Yeah.. They are right about it!! One of the most compelling reason to dine here would be the oysters. Delicious, plump, fresh oysters flown in from New Zealand!! I ate 3 out of 5... The tom yam soup - super hot also the crabs "poo nim oon thord krop nam chiam" (deep-fried softshell crab) U just can eat like that - so crunchy! Other dish... kerabu mangga, prawn, and sweet sour fish.
Another dining experience in Sri Ayutthaya is you get to enjoy their great ambience of true Thai culture including the interior design even the staff wearing traditional Thai's plus beautiful ornaments like chandelier lights, antique cupboards and wonderful artifacts, all flown from Thailand.
Sri Ayutthaya RestaurantJalan USJ 11/3, UEP Subang Jaya, Selangor Phone: 603-731 8833
Other Branch : Medan Damansara and Wangsa Maju
I used to go to this area where lots of seafood restaurants before the new airport and highway was build. Now some of the restaurant had moved and BB Thai Seafood Village is just located next to Lala Chong Seafood Restaurant opposite Terminal3 Subang Airport (Skypark).
Even during weekdays the restaurant was half full and you may need consider to book (03-7846 1200) in advance during weekend or public holidays. If you are looking for a decent seafood place to eat (classic type of seafood restaurant build with atap and set with wooden and plastic chairs) with reasonable price and near to KL or PJ you are at the right place unless you want to drive more km to Klang..
That day we had the Siakap 3 rasa, Crabs, Butter Prawns, Chilli Lala and Seafood fried rice. Lobster also available here with RM150 per kg!! (Mabul Island only RM20 for 2... He..He..). And say NO to the Sharks Fin Soup!! -available in mostly seafood restaurants in Malaysia.
Wet World Pedas, 13 km from Seremban, Negeri Sembilan are for those looking to enjoy hot spring waters and suitable for visitors of all ages, with a special pool for children, complete with slides and floats.
We were here for my love's department family day 2010. This first ever hotspring theme park located by the main road to Rembau. It's like a small version of Wet World Shah Alam. And of course, a visit to the Pedas Wet World Hot Springs would not be complete without a dip in the natural hot spring pools. At about 27C - 34C, the naturally hot water contain minerals that is said to have healing properties.
No outside food allowed and they got everything here from Cafe, Private lockers, bathroom, surau, gift shops to private recreational area for family day. Wet World Air Panas Pedas Resort Opening hours : Monday to Friday (1pm - 7pm) Weekends and Public holidays (10am - 7pm) The park is closed every Tuesday except during School Holidays & Public Holidays. Admission Fees (Height based) 135cm & above - RM10 85 - 135cm - RM8 Below 85cm - FREE.
Wet World Air Panas Pedas Map
Location: From North South Expressway, you just need to turn off at the Pedas-Linggi exit and follow the road signs to Pedas OR exit Senawang, turn right at the 4 junction traffic light then straight to Rembau, passing by Cendol Leman Dawi and the Wet World will be on the right around 4km drive.
T.G.I. Friday's - In Here It's always Friday but we went there on Saturday... He..He... always best known for its relaxing atmosphere and real American-style menu. We have been to several TGIs before and the taste never change... For my love it was the day that she really want to eat the Jack Daniel's® Burger and for me it was the marvelous Jack Daniel's® New York Strip & Shrimp. Anything for the "Hot Mama" now at her 30 weeks and 5 days pregnancy. :D
It was the first ever Lieutenant Jetti's 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation family gathering at Kampung Melaka Pindah, Malacca.
Organized by Uncle Jeff Noh Jetti it can be considered very successful because more than 20 cousins and family came for this event. More pics available at Facebook and Fotopages. We still looking for ancestry of Haji Jetti bin Ahmad or Abdul Rahman of Melaka Pindah, Melaka. Kindly join our family group :Waris Haji Jetti
I have an awesome weekend at Perhentian Island, enjoyed working with people to do something good to the environment and as a part of my Dive Master Training too.. It was a worldwide program under Reef Check Malaysia and Persatuan Pengusaha-Pengusaha Pulau Perhentian, Terengganu. Also join by other dive centre like Watercolours, Turtle Bay Divers and Bubbles Dive Centre.
Underwater Pose
Marine Park and Watercolours Paradise
Nighlife and LiveBand at the Monkey Bar plus Dine and BBQ at Paradise
I stayed and dive with Watercolours Paradise Resort and Dive Centre on Perhentian Besar. Great food, chalet with the sea view, very friendly staff and sandy beach ("Perfect!") . It was a lots better than my prev trip to Perhentian.
Beach Cleanup on first day
The team from Malaysia, Germany, UK, Australia, Canada and Spain
COTs catch on 2nd day
Anyway thanks to my dive buddy Matt originally from German but stay in Malaysia which help to get into the PICD programme.. Also Benjamin a tall nice guy with camera - a good drinker and driver also. Not to forget DMT Azizi who been staying on the island for the past 3 month - Cool and harworking guy also Nadine a sweet and funny German Dive Instructor.
COT feeding on the corals
This cleanup removed the voracious Crown-of-Thorn Starfish from the coral reef. These starfish feed on coral polyps and are exceedingly difficult to get rid of, as they can regenerate from a lost limb. Therefore, the clean-up will collect these starfish and bury them where they can't harm the reef.
We managed to collect more than 500 COTs and bundles of garbage during the beach cleanup. I also got stung by one of the COT during surface interval but it was just a minor injury. Hope will come back and join more conservation project to protect our oceans and marine life.
During the 3 days dive we spotted a school of barracuda, green turtle, nudis, blue spot stingray, angelfish, puffer fish, stout longtom and many more...
